"Full Metal Jacket" Mixed Media 18x24"
It's been a very long time since I have worked in mixed media, but something kept pulling at me... to paint like this again (taking a break from pastels). I was thrilled that my first attempt, in all these years, won a 2nd place award in Mixed Media at the RSVP show in Cheyenne. You may wonder why I am just now posting after the show is over? I must admit I was actually putting the finishing touches on the painting the day before it was due and forgot about taking a photo, so here it is! As I worked in this abstract mixed media, I kept asking what do I see, and what is the story I am telling and the big question WHY? My answers may not be yours and that is OK the exciting thing about abstract is the journey in finding your story in the painting....and the wondering WHY?
