Painting in the Tetons at the Jim Wilcox Workshop

A nice lady passing by the trail had me to do an artist pose in front of my painting.

I just got back from a Jim Wilcox plein air workshop in Jackson WY.  It was a wonderful experience painting in the Tetons with Jim as an instructor.  My work for the last few years has been primarily in pastels but during this workshop I tried to paint the mountains in oils.  What a challenge!  And much too much to absorb to get even one painting finished!

Karen Bright, Jim Wilcox giving a daily demo and Wendy Wang.
My new friend, Lura Joseph and I rode together everyday to our designated
painting spot.  This is Lura hard at work and my unfinished painting on the last day of the workshop.
